Interactive Activity

The idea of this project is to create an interactive environment for deaf children so they be a part of society. This allows them to not feel neglected.

The project I'm suggesting is to design a chocolate factory tour. As children everyone loves chocolate and as much as children dislike to listen explanations when it comes to things like this they will pay attention. (Special when they think they get chocolate at the end.)

Any way as there is heavy machinery running in the factory the hearing ability of a normal person will be at its bare minimal. So best thing will be to use visual aids to explain how all this functions.

Best possible way would to use the modern technological genius the tablets. If they take 20 students at a time they can give a tablet for two students and they can share it. The tour guide will show them which  buttons to touch and when to touch them.

This way when they come up to certain area of the factory the guide will show a button to press and when the students do that a visual guide will appear on the screen and this will help the students to understand the function of the place they are at.

This way they get to use modern technology and also they get to see how chocolate is made.

The below image is an example of how this can be done. This is a class room with able students but this can really used for disable students in a very productive way.

PokUWeather

This is a smart phone weather application.

The presentation we did in class includes a brief explanation on what we are trying achieve here.

Further explanation of this application can be found in our documentation.

Application for coffee needs

Introduction
Today in Australia coffee is an essential part of most people's life including me. So I have come up with this idea to help people out when buying coffee. Below is a hand drawn sketch of this application.

Functionality
We have the opening page which gives a pleasant introduction to the application. Then it takes the user to the second page. On this page they will have to input the certain information which helps the application to decide how much coffee the users needs.
After that is submitted the user is forwarded to a page which they have to say what kind of a day they think they will have. Which then forwards the user to page where they are told what kind of coffee they can have.

So from here the user will decide to continue of to exit the application. If the user has a regular coffee place they can go there and ask for their choice of coffee. But if they are not sure where they can get what they want, they just have to select what kind of coffee they need and the application will show where they can buy the coffee on map.

Marketing
The target audience is 18 to 50 as that is the working age group in Australia. Under 18 people are at school while over 50 are not much in to the smart phones or relying on technology for their coffee needs.
The best way to promote this will be to have the availability of the application informed to work places via e-mails or by sending text messages to employees and so on. Also advertising on social networking sites will help.

Shop Idea

Imagine your self in shopping center and not knowing where the shop you'r looking for is.

A good idea will be if you can enter the item your looking for and the software will give you what shops has it for sale.

This will be something like the big information screens at shopping centers. When you go into the shopping center the screen will provide you with a search bar where you can enter the product you are looking for. Then it will show you all the shops has this item for sale. Also there markers will have different colours it they are sold out in certain shops.

This will avoid the shoppers the hassle of walking to different shops and asking for the availability of the product.

Unfortunately the prices cannot be displayed here because then the shopping center will have sales issues. Because people will walk only to the cheap place and impulse purchases will be largely reduced.

Recycling Game

The main idea of this game is to influence kids to enhance their recycling potential.

We have taken the concept of the Apple iPhone game 'Paper Toss.'

The game will be provided with a item of garbage and they have to decide which bin it goes in to rubbish or recycle.

Above shown is a basic hand drawn sketch of the game. The item will appear and the player will be given a time frame to toss it.
The time will be shorter as the player levels up. And the score will apear on the top right corner.

It can potential have an option to submit the score online to keep it interesting. Hopefully this will influence people to recycle more.
